Across the country, municipalities and other local leaders are investing in community-owned high-speed broadband networks. Community broadband can bring gigabit speeds to homes and businesses, extend fast broadband to unserved rural communities, create needed competition for private monopolies, and preserve the principles of open, neutral networks. Can it also support digital inclusion and affordable access for the disadvantaged residents of the communities it serves?
