Alyssa Kenney

DANEnet
Executive Director
Madison, Wisconsin Area
Alyssa started her digital equity career in 1999 building community technology centers and teaching digital literacy classes. She pivoted away from technology and spent fifteen years of leading and managing two thriving community centers. In 2014, she returned to digital equity work and became the executive director of DANEnet, a local nonprofit focused on making information technology accessible. At DANEnet, digital equity programming has grown from a few dozen clients to almost a thousand a year. A proud badger and UW Madison alumni, she has a bachelor’s degree in geography and a M.ed. in administrative leadership. She runs the local Coder Dojo, Kids Code Madison and serves on the public library board. Talk to me about getting the work done, raising money, teaching kids coding, program evaluation, Wisconsin travel and all things food.
