:: CM! Winters is a Librarian and an Advisor for the Chicago Blockchain Project. She is a firm believer in the honest broker approach and a staunch advocate for innovative civic engagement projects, especially utilizing her subject expertise in blockchain technology, organized labor, information literacy, and news literacy. These topics and others will be covered in her forthcoming co-authored book with Barbara Jones, titled #IPiC: Information Poverty in Chicago. Her distinguished honors include inaugural Gates Millennium Scholar and completion of both the Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians and the McCormick Foundation News Literacy fellowship programs. Her day job is Assistant Professor with the City Colleges of Chicago and Malcolm X College Library Department Chair. The proud alumnus of DePaul University (BA 1996) and UIUC (MS 1997) is also the former host of PBS WYCC's weekly program, The Professors. Her other albeit most important work is raising her four unicorns. And it is this work that undoubtedly leverages her most amazing organization, mediation, and communication skills which sustains her 15+ years of progressive experience managing high-priority projects for senior administrative teams in complex and non-profit organizational settings.
