Crystal is a librarian and a trainer, with a passion for instructional design, training, and technology. As founder of Kixal, she provides innovative, transformative training for libraries on a wide range of topics. She has provided training on projects for the Urban Libraries Council’s Edge Initiative, the Public Library Association’s Project Outcome, DigitalLearn.org, TechSoup’s monthly webinar series for libraries, Infopeople’s Building an Effective Learning Culture project, and the R-Squared Conference. She has given trainings for state and regional libraries including the Georgia Public Library Service, Infopeople, the Eastern Shore Regional Library, and the Washington State Library. She regularly presents at conferences, including recent programs at ALA, PLA, ARSL, and LITA. Crystal is originally from Northern California, and is currently based out of Austin, Texas.
